A short daily path, not an endless course
Fijario’s home screen is one small daily session — designed to take a few focused minutes, then let you get on with your day.
-
Meet a word properly
Every card pairs the Spanish word with its meaning, a sound-alike keyword cue, a vivid mnemonic, and a real example sentence — so it lands the first time.
-
Recall it actively
Type it, pick it from audio, or build the sentence. Active recall beats recognition taps, and every miss goes into your mistake notebook.
-
Review it right on time
Spaced repetition brings each word back just before you’d forget it. You can even see the next review interval before you grade a card.
A 5,000-card word bank, curated for real life
Fijario ships with 5,000 high-frequency Spanish words — the vocabulary you actually meet in conversation, travel, and everyday reading — plus practical phrase chunks like tengo que and me gusta.
The whole bank is searchable offline. Mark favorites, filter by level, and add your own custom cards for words you personally want to remember.

Five ways to practice, one honest scorecard
Recognition alone doesn’t build speaking. Fijario mixes typed recall, listening drills, verb conjugation practice, and sentence building — and every attempt is logged locally so the app can tell you exactly what’s weak.
The mistake notebook keeps each miss with the answer you gave and the one that was expected, then routes you back to repair it in the same practice mode where it went wrong.
